Wireless Network Watcher

Want to find out what computer and/or devices are connected to your network? NirSoft has a free tool that can quickly provide an answer to that question: Wireless Network Watcher. This tool scans your network, finds all computers/devices that are connected to your network, and then displays a list on its interface.

Wireless Network Watcher works with multiple Windows editions. And to be more precise, it works with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. It must be mentioned here that Wireless Network Watcher does not have to be installed. This, of course, makes it a portable tool. Just run the Wireless Network Watcher executable and the tool will launch.

As mentioned above, Wireless Network Watcher scans your network and displays a list of connected devices on its interface. The list covers the following info: IP address, device name, MAC address, network adapter company, device info, user text, first detected on, detection count, active.

Double click an entry on the list to access the Properties menu.
Right click an entry on the list and you will be presented with a context menu that features the following entries: save selected items, copy selected items, HTML report – all items, HTML report – selected items, choose columns, auto size columns, properties, refresh.

Wireless Network Watcher can notify you when a new device connects to the network and can execute a certain command when a new device is detected.
Wireless Network Watcher can also notify you when a specific device connects to the network. It can play a sound and display a tray balloon to notify you.
